Snap in Dentures

Are you tired of dentures? About worrying that they might come loose while laughing or talking with your friends or in a business meeting? Don’t worry, a lot of our patients have gone through that, but they have found the solution. As we know, dentures can come loose with simple actions as laughing, coughing or sneezing, and after a few times it stops being funny, and people start looking for a change that will not put them in an embarrassing position.

Everyone wants a beautiful smile, snap-in dentures are a great option for achieving that.

This solution is a type of over-denture that gets some support from the implants that it snaps onto. Regular dentures rest on the gums and tend to fit less firmly in the mouth, but snap-in dentures are anchored to multiple implant posts and therefore does not slip or slide in place while eating and speaking.

This means that this type of denture is removable, and you’ll be able to snap it in and out as many times as needed. The snap or “clip” happens when the denture is pressed gently onto the head of the implants, which provides a removable solution and a stronger bite.

Snap-In dentures provide strength and stability to eat your favorite foods again.

Snap-In Dentures procedure:

The implants for this procedure are usually placed in the jawbone at the front of the mouth because there tends to be more bone in front of the jaw than in the back.

The time frame to complete the implant(s) depend on many factors, and it’s different for each patient depending on their situation. But the average time is around 6 months for both jaws including the initial diagnosis, surgeries, and the placement of the denture.

When the patient needs a bone graft treatment or other preliminary procedures the process can last a year or more.

Usually, each patient needs two surgeries. During the first one, the implants are placed in the jawbone under your gums; while the second surgery exposes the tops of the implants.

It’s important to clarify that the second procedure needs to be done between three to six months after the first.
